The video below is from my favorite Jesus movie “Jesus of Nazareth” and it recounts the story of Jesus’ birth.
I like classical music. Opera not so much. However, when I heared Carlo Bergonzi, perhaps seven years ago, playing on my radio, I was so impressed that I could not forget the aria he was singing. It’s ‘E lucevan le stelle’ from Puccini’s opera ‘Tosca’. Since then I have heared the greatest tenors (Pavarotti, Carreras etc.) sing this aria.
I still like Bergonzi’s interpretation the most.
Carlo Bergonzi was one of the great tenors of the 20th century. He died in 2014 but his amazing voice is still with us.
My favorite quote is
“He was born with a gift of laughter and a sense that the world was mad”
It’s the opening line from Rafael Sabatini’s novel “Scaramouche” and it’s also his epitaph.
It’s my favorite quote because that’s what I’ve been thinking for a long time, even before the covid craziness. I wasn’t born with the gift of laughter but even I have to laugh from time to time at the craziness of it all, just to keep my sanity.
There have been some great theories trying to explain the current craziness.
One theory by Meredith Miller explains it as a combination of abusive relationship and cognitive dissonance.
Another one (Dr. Mark McDonald, psychiatrist) has a more complex, multifaceted explanation.
I highly recommend these two video interviews with him. They are fascinating, enlightening and disturbing. He opens the window to some very dark places in the human soul. At one point the interviewer is visibly disturbed. The reward for watching these two videos is that you’ll understand why people still believe that their abusers are good persons and how the darkest human proclivities are unleashed for the purpose of power and control.
The third one is by Dr. Robert W. Malone, the inventor of tne mRNA technology who tries to explain the madness as a form of hypnosis. Because he is supremely qualified to talk about vaccines, viruses and epidemics he is in a perfect position to see that the current policies with regards to the wuhan virus have absolutely nothing to do with science, the care for health or good medical practise.
I highly recommed Dr. Malone’s substack page.
The video is a recording of a speech he gave on “MASS FORMATION PSYCHOSIS”.
All of the above explanations have great merit. They are all plausible and they have one thing in common:
They tell us that one way to awaken people caught in a loop that makes processing new information impossible is some kind of shock.
I liken the current situation of the world to a stampede. People with bad intentions have caused the herd to panic. Instinctively the cattle are running with the herd because the herd provides protection from the predators. This is true but when the herd runs towards a cliff this behaviour is suicidal. Every time the herd slows down the bad guys are causing more panic. The herd keeps running and running and the only way to stop it is to blow up a dynamite charge right in front of the herd, causing a great shock.
And just because some idiots are out there: this is an allegory and not a call to violence.
My respect and admiration for Christine Anderson is increasing day by day.
I call her Germany’s Iron Lady. If you watch these two videos below, you’ll understand why.
Last monday I took part in a demonstration against Germany’s fascistic covid policies and the looming universal vax mandate which will follow Austria’s insane universal vax mandate.
I couldn’t help noticing that there were more women than men present. Since it was my first participation in this demonstration that happens every monday and since I didn’t have an overview of the crowd I asked some ladies who are regular participants.
They confirmed my observation. I told them that the men must have lost something, something which is usually in their trousers. They laughed but their reaction told me that they shared that sentiment.
I also can’t help noticing that througout history women often played a leading role in revolutions or the struggle for liberty or the defense of their nations.
These women were either real (Joan of Arc) or symbolic like Lady Liberty and Marianne, the symbol of the French revolution.
I believe that it is women who are the necessary driving force which is needed to encourage men to fight.
So, ladies, kick the men in the butt and encourage them to be more traditional in their role.
Forget (at least for one moment) feminism and demand some good old toxic masculinity when the situation clearly calls for it.
Christine Anderson tells EU Parlament President to either respect democracy or to step down:
Christine Anderson answers Australia’s SOS:
A famous painting about the French Revolution:
Alison Krauss and Shawn Colvin are both great singers in their own rights but I just love this duet. It’s pure magic. This is as good as Simon & Garfunkel’s original song “The Boxer”.
This is one of IB’s finest posts (at least of the ones I’ve read).
She nails it when she compares our current situation to an abusive relationship.
That’s exactly how I feel. One of the hallmarks of abusive relationships and of sadistic behaviour is that the abuser always blames the victim for the abuse. It’s always the victim’s fault.
“Now I take away your freedom because you’re not wearing your mask/don’t get vaccinated etc. etc.”.
“Now I’m punishing you because your behaviour caused all these problems.”
The abuser, like any other tyrant, does not use the power of persuasion but he uses the persuasion of power.
He demands obedience without questions.
It is in the nature of abusive relationships that the abuser raises hope by telling the victim that the abuse will end if the victim is slavishly obedient and follows all orders.
It’s also in the nature of such abusive relationships that the abuser is never satisfied. The victim is never obedient enough.
That’s why those who think that perfect obedience such as getting vaccinated and following all orders will end the abuse are sadly mistaken.
There are cases of Stockholm syndrome but for the most part, the abuser is more interested than the victim in keeping the relationship.
However, it’s not only the psychological dynamics that keeps the abuse alive. It’s also the political necessity of achieving “The Great Reset”, “Build Back Better”, “Green New Deal” and other euphemisms for the new global fascism wich wraps itself in the cloths of building a new utopia that saves the world from the alleged climate apocalypse.
There is only one thing that will end the abuse: No obedience! No compliance! Our basic, God-given human rights are not negotiable.
I thought this was a very good video discussing, Why Do People Believe the Covid and Vaccine Narrative? They talk about trauma, psychology, and cognitive dissonance.
First let me say that it was trauma that brought me close to Lord, that helped me to discover I was wonderfully and fearfully made. I am such a survivor, not by my own will and determination, but by design. Our brains, everything from cognitive dissonance to post traumatic stress disorder are part of an incredible and intricate defense mechanism. Not so fun if you are trying to cope with these afflictions, but as a detached observation, they are just remarkable and awe inspiring in ways we don’t even yet fully understand.
Something I find interesting, these are coping skills, survival skills, and yet they don’t really contribute to our physical health, our well being and survival, in fact they are a huge hindrance…
